What a dream it is for horse-loving middle school and high school students to come to school and ride their favorite horse! When students hop off the bus at Monte Vista Christian School, they are steps away from the many horses at Belmont Training Stable. Two well-equipped riding arenas make it possible for students to take horseback riding lessons in lieu of the traditional physical education requirements. Thanks to the extensive fleet of buses at this Santa Cruz County school, students are able to easily commute from Salinas, San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Watsonville. Horse boarding is also available for these surrounding areas, making it possible for a student to ride their own horse during the school day. Horseback riding lessons are available for beginners through advanced-level riders. This equestrian training center in the Morgan Hill area competes regularly in Interscholastic Equestrian Association events, where riders are able to experience riding different horses and fine-tuning their hard-earned skills.
